Hand painted signs by some of the best Bay Area sign painters. The work in EVERYTHING MUST GO takes design cues from mid-20th century sources, the latest heyday of hand-lettered design, from which signs have been painted in the style of magazine advertisements, game show sets, movie and travel posters, and department store window splashes. Other pieces draw source material from further afield, and via word play and recycled materials, direct our attention to the underlying theme that everything, ultimately, must go, and make way for something new.

Featuring signs by sign painters at San Francisco’s esteemed New Bohemia Signs: Aaron Cruse, Ashley Fundora, Heather Hardison, Damon Styer, Scott Thiessen and Pickles
