The Compound Studios & Gallery

The COMPOUND  has 17 studios, a complete wood shop, metal shop, blacksmithing, kilns, etching press, silkscreen area, sculpture studios, enormous common working area, an artist’s gallery, kitchen, lounge, and more. We are part of the Oakland Art Murmur and we are located on the border of Oakland/Emeryville Berkeley, also known as the Golden Gate Gallery District.  (The Golden Gate Gallery District was voted Best New Art Walk 2009 by the East Bay Express!) Our studio spaces are dedicated to serious working artists.

Shared sculpture studio space available $200/month at The Compound. (Not suitable for painters). Inquire about available access to the full wood shop, etching press, giant silkscreen exposure unit/wash out, etc.

Also available, common space for $175/month. Wood shop space at $425/month
