Further Exercises in Futility: New works by David Fullarton

Short Film Screening and Q&A with film crew & David Fullarton:
Friday, May 6th,  2022 8pm

Join us for a film screening about Mr. Fullarton titled “I Lied About Being An Artist” on May 6th with the film crew.

‘What is the point?’ reads the text scrawled upon one of David Fullarton’s new mixed media drawings. True to form the artist makes no attempt to answer this profound and all-encompassing question. Instead, he evades the issue, distracting us with absurd humor and implied violence.
This, of course, is typical of Mr Fullarton, a curmudgeonly malcontent who long ago concluded that there is most likely no point to any of this, and the best way to cope with that unsettling knowledge is to laugh in the face of the beckoning void.

Deploying uncompromising wit, he revels in the futility of modern existence, ruthlessly skewers contemporary aspirations and anxieties, and celebrates the shared foibles and failings that make us all so gloriously human.
