“Rooted (in the Bay Area)” featuring the work of Mikhael Banut
(July 12, 2008-August 12, 2008)

Each piece is a direct reflection of his own roots. Some are very obvious, while others display his roots more obscurely. Mikhael’s roots are unearthed as he personally expresses his representation of scriptures that all encompass a theme of creation, nature, and above all- trees.

Rooted-v. To grow roots or a root.
To become firmly established, settled, or entrenched.
To come into existence; originate.
