Born and raised in Champaign Illinois, Dave Rowe is an artist and educator. His work deals with issues of landscape, history, and the psychological implications of the American Experience. His work and process is driven by a background in model-building, material experimentation, and curiosity. He has participated in numerous national group shows, solo shows residency programs. He is a recipient of fellowships from the Nevada Arts Council and the Efroymson Family Fund. He is currently an Assistant Professor at the University of Nevada Las Vegas where he runs the Sculptural Practices area. He lives in Las Vegas with his partner, two cats, and rambunctious dog.
