The Compound Gallery is pleased to announce the opening of “October 9, 1969” by Scott Reilly. In this solo exhibition, Reilly moves away from his usual approach and techniques to expose a deeper emotional source that lies within all of his creative expression. In times of sorrow, frustration, and pain, we all struggle to face or turn away from the events that bring forth emotions that can either impede or facilitate our creative outlets.

Artist Scott Reilly has taken the latter approach. Here, he exposes himself to himself, and his installation functions as both a recognition of an emotive past and the acknowledgment of a fruitful future.
